Spring Day Smoothie

Its going to be 82 degrees today in the Natti. My spring wardrobe is all over the place (says the girl wearing a skirt, bare legs and a winter sweater. Help).

Anyway, warm weather to me means smoothies!
So refreshing and filling; I love throwing these together for breakfast.

Fear not the smoothie time prep in the morning, start to finish, including the amazing photography you see below, took 10 minutes. Clean the blender later.

The breakfast club: Strawberries, Banana, Unsweetened Almond/Coconut Milk, Vanilla Protein Powder and Unsweetened flaked coconut.

You really can put together any combination you wish, I was just craving some
coconut-lovin’ as I often am. You also replace the unsweetened almond/coconut milk for regular milk, coconut milk, or coconut water; up to you!

Strawberry Coconut Smoothie  
5 strawberries, stems removed, cut in half
1/2 banana
1 c. Unsweetened Almond/Coconut Milk
2 tbs Unsweetened Flaked Coconut
1 scoop Vanilla Protein powder (I like Whole Foods Whey Powder)
1/4 tsp. coconut extract (optional)
1 big handful of ice

Throw all the ingredients into a blender. Blend on high (or ice-crush feature) until ice has blended in. Drink. Enjoy. Go about your day. Serves 1.
