We made it. A full week of work after a holiday weekend. We made it. Let’s celebrate.
And what better way to celebrate than with planning your weekend brunch plans (because that’s how I party down).
I’ve mentioned the fabulous Taste of Belgium before; but let me elaborate…
Taste of Belgium has fabulous coffee drinks – like the scrumptious cappuccino above, but also has mimosas and other boozy brunch drinks should you need some hair of the dog (and let’s face it, we usually do).
In addition to libations, they also have a full brunch menu, comprised of crepes, sandwiches and of course waffles. What I like about this menu, is that it’s not too breakfast focused; if you’re a breakfast-at-brunch hater, this is a perfect spot for you.
A signature item is their Chicken and Waffles.
A beautiful, tender, breaded chicken breast over a slightly sweet, crisp waffle.
What takes this to crazy-amazing is the sweet maple syrup pooled around the waffle and the spicy hot sauce over the chicken. Sweet and savory nirvana.
You’ve officially got your brunch plans this weekend. You’re welcome.
