Late Season

Hope you’re all enjoying your weekend so far! If you get the chance; visit your local farmer’s market. You know my love of local food and farmer’s markets and most of them here in Massachusetts are closing up or will be closed up before Thanksgiving; so get out  there and support your local food movement while you can!

There are  deals to be found at a late-season farmer’s market as well:
– Stock up on imperfect produce for preserving (tomatoes for sauce or fruit for chutney).
– Many farmer’s markets make pies or other treats using their harvest; which are perfect for Thanksgiving meals.
– There may be root vegetables and fall fruits still in abundance so stock up!

Happy marketing!

I’m happiest at my local Shaws – I think it’s the experience of roaming endlessly while being protected from the elements (and militant earthy-crunchy folk).

    1. Again, our friendship diverges…I only like that Shaw’s moderately….
